you may want to try building that firefox module by yourself, it's pretty easy doing it with dir2lzm
just use the slax doc's. (extract the firefox tar to a temp dir, add the dir's & files to make firefox appear in the menu, run dir2lzm on it all and it's done)

Thanks mocabilly,
I tried, create modules with Slax in KDE, they work; put them into LXDE Slax 6.1.0 (also Slax-remix)and no work.
If I use Opera it works.
Is there something I'm missing? Is it because of the 2 lxde modules clashing?

If in case anybody else is trying the same thing, firefox-3.5.3-flash-10-jre-6u16.lzm was the ticket!

i don't get it - remix has latest firefox-3.6 shipped by default, why don't you use that one?

fanthom,
Possibly part of my ignorance but a plug-in called firekeeper doesn't work in firefox 3.
I tried last night to change the module to allow max version 3.5.3 and had to disable
firefox's update feature to install the plug in and it still didn't work
has firefox's features outdated this plugin?

not necessarily, each fx extension (i presume that we are talking about extensions not plugins) has a file called install.rdf in which author describes min and max fx version compatibility. You can try to bump the max version and see what happens. Otherwise you need to wait for the author to adapt this addon to the newest firefox.

EDIT:
ok i have checked it and seems that firekeeper is an external program, so it might be not that easy to force it to work with newest fx. Probably the best idea is to stick with 3.5.3 and wain for a developers.

Thanks for the help.

I'm going to take your advice and move on to the newer fx versions.

Thanks again.
