The Blasphemy Challenge

I deny the existence of the Holy Spirit. Why? Basically because I am an atheist and I don't believe anything from the scriptures, due to lack of evidence.

According to Mark 3:29 in the Holy Bible, "Whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin."

Why is this so important to know? Well it's very interesting fact. Jesus will forgive you for just about anything, for a murder, a rape, but he won't forgive you for denying the existence of the Holy Spirit. Ever.

Is it really so wrong? I mean, did I harm anyone?

The most Christian woman I ever met told me that being a Christian boils down to "faith," of which believing in this spirit would be a major component, I'll deduce. I guess not believing in this core fundamental would render one not a Christian, regardless of whatever else a person may believe. (Not that I agree, just saying...)

Denying the Holy Spirit is something different - I don't care if it exists or not, I simply say that if it exists, I deny it. If you think this is not enough to make the unforgivable sin, then I am saying that the Holy Spirit indeed exists and it is a shit. I hope that at least this sentence is the blaspheming which grants me the full unlimited access to the wonderland of hell fire. :)

You are not the only one, if you came to my country you would be superise. We have enough relic type here but we didn't belive anything because we are communists. Bible helps us know the right way to cope with the life, but it's very stupid if you believe in every word in it

I believe what you derived from Mark 3:23 was taken out of context. If you read from verse 23 you'll see He was describing how impossible it is to blaspheme the Holy Spirit (as a believer). The verse after the one you quoted, verse 30, is "He told them this because they were saying he had an evil spirit." His logic here was much the same as your logic in an earlier blog of yours in which you mathematically "proved" he didn't exist because he is omnipotent/non-omnipotent.

So, the good news for you is that you are not condemned for blaspheming the Holy Spirit, because you don't believe in the Holy Spirit. You may still be condemned for something else, though! :)
