I agree with you that Google and FB especially are dangerous places for people who are not unaware.

We are waiting for OpenID as soon as possible.

I've created this Google Account for slax and github especially so I could contribute.

Tomas does this mean there will be no direct login from slax via slax user account ?.

While it may not be accurate due to once use /seldom use / duplicate / spam account , but doesn't at least the slax user account give an indicative of active slax users ( I assumed you have a mean to track the number of active users via their login).

Perhaps the number means nothing to you ?.

If spammimg is the concern , then posting without login must be disallowed.
As it is with slax 6 and this blog , you can post without login it. The only advantange in login in slax 6 is , if you login , you can edit yor post.

Bur seriously , will spammer be concerned about making fake facebook or google account to login?.

Right now , spam in slax 6 forum is under control . The login user been allowed to mark spam is working.

By all means allow login via facebook etc. This is userful for new or non regulat slax user , who don't want to have to create an account just to post, but regular user should still be offered the slax user account login in.

Perhaps maintaing the database is to troublesome or take too much storage space.

1/ Nope :
To stop spamming the best way is to create a captcha sort of like this one in slax.
If necessary, block the guy forever.

2/ FB is a dangerous place, for security reason...
I'd prefer an OpenID like most serious guys, but I would stick with Google plus till next time.

3/ Regular or not, I've noticed that people who are aware about their security, don't want to mess with FB...
Slax login will be interesting the day it will come to OpenID...

4/ Storage place ? At least could Tomas M put all his stuff in SF dot net. No ?
The issue is the database it self: it's complicated to mix FB, Google Plus and something else with a personnal DB. It's time consuming.

5/ Counting is a bit important: in fact a good distro is known easily...

Think you need to change the spelling for the Google sign in, right now it says "SING in".

how to install new slax in hdd ?

The same way like on USB disk. Copy it there and run slax/boot/bootinst.bat

Do not know here to post, shall post here:
What about automatic language detection for this site? Newcomers will be pleased if it will speak in their native language.
All browsers send standard header in aid for sites. Like
Accept-Language: uk-UA,uk;q=0.9,en;q=0.8
So server is only to read it, and switch into proper language subtree(save value into cookie for future use).

Thank you FeyFre for the suggestion. As soon as I have ready the web-based interface for users to translate texts on Slax website, I will add automatic language detection too.

I've noticed that when I sign in, it comes to www.slax.org but does not stay in THIS page.
May I suggest you to open a new tab when people sign in so then do not lose the page where they are ?
